Harp
Depot was founded on January 3, 1996 by John Hall in New Palestine,
Indiana. John's love for the harmonica started when he saw some Marine
Bands in his grandpa's suitcase back in 1969. His grandpa gave
him one, and being in a music loving family made it easy for him to
stick with the instrument. When he walked by the Slippery
Noodle in Indianapolis on a summer's evening in 1990, and heard
a harmonica player wailing the blues, it was love at first
"sound"! Since then he's had an ever growing love for the
blues which has fueled his enthusiasm for the harmonica business, and
led him to found the "Bean
Blossom Blues Fest" and the popular Bushman
brand of harmonicas.
John
sold Harp Depot to his best customer - "Doc" Belcher of
Marion, Ohio - on November 30, 2004. It was a perfect transaction
which allowed John to realize his goal of being able to focus
exclusively on marketing and growing his Bushman brand, while it
enabled Doc to jump right into the harmonica and musical instrument
business with both feet. Since Doc's entry into the harmonica
business, he has become a "harmonica consultant" and tries
to make both himself and his other qualified staff easily available
to those with questions.
Since Doc began operating Harp
Depot, he has found the development and managements of websites
both a challenge and stimulating. As a result, he now has multiple
websites for musical instruments and accessories, which include:
Harmonica website store Harp
